The AIM story
AIM Kent was founded in 2015 by three mums Zoe, Kate, and Kimberley - who wanted to ‘level the playing field’ for grammar school access.
One evening, over a glass of wine, they realized that living in Kent meant facing the challenge of the 11+ Kent Test when their children reached secondary school age. And that inevitably meant tutoring.
But good 11+ tutors can cost at least £40 an hour, every week in Year 5.
So how could low-income families possibly afford that?
That’s how AIM was born.
Our mission is simple: to provide free 11+ preparation to bright children who otherwise wouldn’t have access to it. Since then, AIM has grown to support around thirty children every year from local, low-income families. We are committed to promoting fairness and inclusivity in education.
